Random thoughts and a pumpkin scone
So Robin, when you don't get called to substitute teach, what do you do on those days?
Welp...this morning, I set my alarm for 8, woke up, threw on some sweats and went down to my local starbucks (Canyon Crest...it's my favorite one), and got not only my usual (Iced White Mocha nonfat, no whip), but a delicious pumpkin scone! I lovelovelove the appearance of the pumpkin spice latte and pumpkin scone every year around this time. If the weather is determined to start getting colder, (which I don't like), then at least I can find solace in Starbucks pumpkin spice things. :-)
Now, I am sitting at my living room table, writing a 6-page paper for my grad class, "The History and Future of American Education". Fascinating.
I later plan on going to watch a flag football game at CBU, then come home and go for a run, and then enjoy dinner with my mom.
So...that's my day. It's a lot different then my days used to be when I was in the Calbaptist bubble, but, that's okay. Humbling and much learning are taking place, and it's a good place to be. :-)

Hello Robin,
It has been a few months since our "CBU days". Your days sound a lot like my new days working from home, except for the part where I take my laptop to Sb.
I hope you are well.
Mike Berger
Enjoy these days. Even though its a transition time... life will not always be this calm and obligation free. I'm proud of you, sis!
