Why I love being a teacher...
Today I subbed for Mrs. James' 1st grade class. Here's some things that made my 7am-3pm day go by a little bit faster:
~"Ms. Moore, you are beautiful"
~"Ms. Moore, can I play with your hair while you read?"
~"Ms. Moore, your nails are lovely"
~"You better stop talking, we don't want to make Ms. Moore stop being so nice"
~"Ms. Moore, I like you better than Mrs. James" (haha...I'm not sure how to feel about this one)
You know, I could get used to this... :-)
Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day
It's raining....enough said.
:-(
Online schooling
I have an on-line class every other Wednesday night. Now, it's not your average on-line class, I actually have to sign in on my computer to this website at the designated time and join in on discussion (I can hear my professor and peers). It'd be really cool if it wasn't class.
I am so bored. Help me, please. I have 2hours left.
Random thoughts and a pumpkin scone
So Robin, when you don't get called to substitute teach, what do you do on those days?
Welp...this morning, I set my alarm for 8, woke up, threw on some sweats and went down to my local starbucks (Canyon Crest...it's my favorite one), and got not only my usual (Iced White Mocha nonfat, no whip), but a delicious pumpkin scone! I lovelovelove the appearance of the pumpkin spice latte and pumpkin scone every year around this time. If the weather is determined to start getting colder, (which I don't like), then at least I can find solace in Starbucks pumpkin spice things. :-)
Now, I am sitting at my living room table, writing a 6-page paper for my grad class, "The History and Future of American Education". Fascinating.
I later plan on going to watch a flag football game at CBU, then come home and go for a run, and then enjoy dinner with my mom.
So...that's my day. It's a lot different then my days used to be when I was in the Calbaptist bubble, but, that's okay. Humbling and much learning are taking place, and it's a good place to be. :-)
Quick brag-time...
Totally already a beach babe...all she needs now is to be living in So.Cal. with her auntie.
Seriously, who doesn't love a baby girl who can make a face like that?
So could my sister and niece be any more beautiful? I don't think so.
That's all there's time for right now...enjoy :-)
