We lost...

...it's okay though. I don't really have a competitive bone in my body, so I'm not all that shaken up about it. If we would've lost to the bus drivers, it would've been a bigger deal than losing to the smooth criminals. I actually smiled after we lost. The smooth criminals are a fun team...good luck to them on Friday. :-)

Good-bye California Baptist University flag football. Thanks for teaching me more about the game of football. Thanks for teaching me about discipline, teamwork, and for intorducing me to some super cool girls. Thanks mostly, for teaching me more about myself. I did something I didn't think (and everyone else didn't think too) that I could do. I had fun, and sacked a few quarterbacks along the way. I'm not all lipgloss and high heels...I'm a mighty defensive player too. ;-)
I'm okay with football being over because my list of things to do, homework and otherwise, is getting longer by the day.

Today I had a meeting with my fastrack education advisor. It, for once, wasn't stressful. I'm right on track to becoming Robin Moore, Kindergarten teacher. :-) The good 'ole CSET and RICA tests are coming this next semester, so I apologize in advance if I am a little stressed around those dates.

I'm a busy girl. This is what I'm coming to figure out. I have school/work/gym all day until 7 or 8, then I usually shower (because I've just come from running or something), and start my homework at 9ish. I barely get friend time in. If someone else were to come along...I just don't know.

My pastor and worship band from my church came to do chapel today. It was amazing. I love my church and the people/pastors there. Pastor Carlos brought us to the throne today in worship, and Pastor Matt got very real (we like to do that at sandals) and talked about sex. I'm blessed to be a part of a congregation so real and refreshing. Pastor Matt is speaking Friday and next Wednesday too. Yay. :-)

Welp, it's about that time. Homework/One Tree Hill time that is. Thanks to all the Canadian Bowler fans that came out today and supported us. You made me smile.
Grace and peace...

Live to the Hilt

"Wherever you are, be all there. Live to the hilt every situation in which you believe to be the will of God". ~Jim Elliot.
Those are the words written on the binder which encompasses all of my credentialing and education requirements. Those are the words that I just need to keep uttering to myself these next 22 weeks. I figured out my schedule today for my last semester of college. 17 units of nothing really is left. Random classes....and all on Tuesday and Thursday. I have no classes Monday, Wednesday or Friday. So great. :-D It's very weird to think that this is the last time I will be planning out classes for a semester.

My roommate Kinsley found out that she only has 1 class to take next semester. So, surprise! She's graduating in 7 weeks. Tears were shed, confusion rose...I might be roommate-less next semester. You have to have 4 classes to live on campus...so therefore....bye Kins. It's sad, weird...all of the above.

"Well I guess this is growing up..."

Schoolwork is getting busy again. I am supposed to be doing that right now, but instead I'm blogging. Yay.

Wednesday is the play-off football game against the Smooth Criminals. If we don't win....no Fortuna Bowl for us. I'm not gonna lie, I'm excited that this is the last week of football. I'm excited for a week of not having 1000 things to do and places to be.
7 weeks until Christmas break. Praise the Lord.

In the meantime...here's a question for you out there in blogland: What should I wear to the Halloween party Saturday night? Any cute, cheap and easy ideas?
Let me know.
Until next time...grace and peace.
I'll leave you with a picture of my adorable niece....who I will get to hold and all will be right with the world again in 2 weeks...

So many random thoughts....

Sorry I've been seriously lacking in the blogging department. Life has been ridiculously busy, and therefore, blogging has been long forgotten.
Tonight, however, I am spending the night with dear friends Kimmy, Michelle and Linds...and we're all huddled around our macs, blogging like nerds.
Where is my time spent, you ask. Well, I have 18 units this semester (like every semester), 6 of which are graduate classes, because I'm getting my credential as an undergrad. Who the heck does that? Besides classes, I have Work 10-15 hours a week, homework for said classes, my Sunday is spent at church (I love my church, Sandals, I love my super cool pastors, and I love the babies at Flip Flops that I get to hold every Sunday). Also, I'm on the mighty d-line for the best flag football team at calbaptist: The Canadian Bowlers.
Okay...football talk, here we go. There has been two major teams for the past 4 years that have dominated girls flag football here at Calbaptist. One is us, the Bowlers, and the other are the BusDrivers. Every year, at the end of season, there is something called Fortuna Bowl, which is like out own Superbowl championships. Every year it comes down to our two teams, and every year the drivers win. I'm not gonna lie, I'm a little sick of them winning. Last year we won both games in season, and then lost at Fortuna Bowl. Frustrating!
I don't think you out there in blogging land understand just how much of a rivalry there is. The school like, divides into a sea of red (us) and black (them).
Season ended this past Wednesday. and we, again, are in 2nd place to the drivers. We place the 3rd place team in playoffs this wednesday, and then fortuna is Friday night. Next time I blog, which I hope to be soon, I will try and post pictures of the amazing Canadian Bowlers. At last wednesday's game, I totally jammed my finger while grabbing a flag. My pinky is huge and purple hurts quite a bit. Dang drivers.
In case you were wondering....my niece is still amazing, and I get to see her in 2 1/2 weeks. My parents and I are flying to Louisville to spend the weekend with my incredible sister, brother-n-law and baby Hope. She is getting huge! I love her so much, and am excited to see her.
So, my friend Sarah figured out the other day that I have 22 weeks left of school. How sad is that? Ugh, I'm already dreading leaving CBU.
There's so much more I want to write about....about what I'm learning right now, about friendships, the Lord, life....but I'm far too ADD to sit here and get it all out. Soon, friends, soon.
I hope everyone is having a blessed Friday night...and that your weekend is filled with God's peace, and fullness of the knowledge of Him.
grace and peace...
